Miami 5k event to honor children fighting cancer

This February, the Bean Automotive Group Live Like Bella Superhero 5k has been scheduled in Miami to raise money for children living with cancer.

The 5k was started in 2015 to raise awareness of childhood cancer and honor those young individuals who are currently fighting one form or another. The charity event will be presented by Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a world-renowned pediatric medical facility treating child patients. The 5k will be offered in both an in-person race and a virtual race for those who cannot be there on race day, but wish to still support the cause.

The runners’ 5k will be timed, with awards given out according to finishing times and divided by age and gender categories. The walking 5k option will not be timed, and strollers will be permitted. Even very young children will have the option to participate in the Kid’s Dash, which is specifically designed for children ages 2 to 7.

All participants will receive a special limited edition 2024 Superhero 5k event T-shirt, with the event Logo Design on it. Everyone will also receive a finisher’s medal.

The charity 5k is set to commence on February 17. The race will begin at 8:00am, and the Finish Festival will be from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The location for the event will be Tropical Park, which is located at 7900 SW 40th Street, Miami. Race admission is $43.
