Experts come together to give small business a helping hand

Once again, it is time for the Miami Herald Small Business Forum. Held at Florida International University’s south campus, the event is planned for next week and will provide panel discussions and motivational talks from successful businesspeople. Miami’s small businesses will have the chance to learn from experts in several fields.

Business owners and budding entrepreneurs who attend will have the opportunity to learn financing options for their business and discuss their financial needs with a group of their peers. During the box-lunch session, attendees will be invited to present their ideas to business coaches.

Those who expect to attend should remember to bring all pertinent information about their business, as well as plenty of their latest batch of business card printing. Since branding is so important and Stationery contributes to branding, it would also be a good idea to bring a sample of their latest Stationery printing.

Attendees who volunteer to do so can present a short investment pitch in front of a panel that will include experts in angel investments, small business loans, venture capital, and micro lending as well as traditional bank loans. Those who volunteer should be prepared with a two-minute presentation that will include details of how much money are looking to raise, where their current backing is coming from, and how additional money would be utilized.

The event starts at 8:00 am on February 21 with registration and a continental breakfast catered by Bill Hansan Catering and continues through three business education sessions approximately one hour in length. A boxed lunch will be served and a lunch session will end the day at about 2:00, all of which is included in the $25 fee.
