Cross-cultural gala on the calendar this month

The South Florida Chapter of the India-U.S. Chamber of Commerce is inviting all interested parties to its annual gala, which is coming up very soon.

The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Miami and include ethnic dancing and other entertainment. The Honorable Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will be the keynote speaker. Included in the evening’s events will the presentation of the 2014 Awards of Excellence for Philanthropy, Entrepreneurship, and Business.

According to its website, The India-U.S. Chamber of Commerce of South Florida is:

“A South Florida based bi-national chamber dedicated to promoting international economic development, networking and showcasing Indian culture.”

Its mission is to promote and strengthen the commercial, cultural, economic, and financial relationships between India and Florida. It does this by providing opportunities for business people from the two areas to interact and network with their counterparts across the ocean. The goal is to facilitate global trade between India and the U.S., as well as the rest of the world.

The gala itself will provide networking opportunities, so attendees may wish to contact their local business card printing service to ensure they have an ample supply of cards available.

The gala takes place from 7:30 pm to just after midnight on November 15. A table for 10 costs $1,000, while individual tickets are $125 for members and $140 for non-members.
