Melbourne theater presents Broadway production

A local theater in Melbourne will host a production the 1994 classic ‘Broken Glass’ by Arthur Miller.

It follows the story of a 1938 Jewish-American family during the time of the holocaust in Nazi Germany. It offers a deep exploration of the mystical ties between the psyche and the physical state. A young woman, after seeing a newspaper headline regarding the famous Kristallnacht of 1938, suddenly becomes paralyzed from the waist down. The play unfolds as her Doctor and her husband both attempt to resolve what appears to be a psychological issue that prevents her from using her limbs as normal.

‘Broken Glass’ is the opening play for the theater’s main production, ‘Cabaret’. It has been revered for its successful run on Broadway, and won the 1995 Laurence Olivier Award. The show has a relatively small cast of just six members – Christy Boyd Morales, Tom Ste. Marie, Glen Krasney, Tracey Lynn Thompson, Gen Ste. Marie, and Steven Wolf.

The cost for tickets to the play will be $15, but these are not available until August 8, upon which they will be purchasable on the venue’s webpage. Banner printing can offer great options for backgrounds at events such as this one.

This event will take place on Saturday, August 19 at the Melbourne Civic Theatre in Melbourne, Florida. It begins at 2:00 pm.
