Green Gables in Melbourne will organize a community marketplace in September that all ages can enjoy.
The 9th Annual Harvest Festival is an event by Green Gables that showcases local business owners and artists across the landmark’s grounds. Those interested in reserving a booth space at the autumn market can sign up as a regular vendor or nonprofit organization. Nonprofits can attend the event for free, while vendors must pay $45 for their spaces. There will even be food trucks on the grounds and activities for children. People can pay $10 for a tour of the venue.
Green Gables is a landmark that was built by William and Nora Wells in 1897. There are many notable rooms in the Queen Anne-style building, such as the Ladies Parlor, the Reception Area, and the Trunk Room. The facility has been used as an event venue for many kinds of functions, such as the Antique Motorcycle Show, Community Heroes Day, and the Classic Antique Car Show. People can donate to Green Gables to help restore the property and turn it into a living history experience.
The event is on September 26th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. There is no cost for shoppers to browse the marketplace. People can park at the Reflections building next to Green Gables. Local landmarks that organize community activities like this may use poster printing services to share information about their activities.
