Melbourne puts on kids event

The annual children's fishing clinic is to be held in Melbourne this March.

The event is the ‘Melbourne’s Police Kids Fishing Clinic’, and it aims to provide local children with an educational opportunity, as well as a fun and entertaining evening. Patrons are welcome to visit the training booths, where they will learn the basics of fishing as a sport. Once they have completed the course, they may then join their assigned officer. The event will give children the opportunity to learn about the ecosystem of the Indian River Lagoon, and safe ways they may engage in fishing activities.

All children must be accompanied by an adult during this time. Additional exercises include knot-tying, angler-preservation techniques and more. There will be two individual sessions lasting approximately two hours each. Guests may choose what session they would prefer to sign up for.

Though the event is free, registration is required. This is available on the event’s website. There will be a limit of five children allowed per registration. After registering, all patrons should Print their tickets in order to use them. Further details, along with instructions for registration are available on the event’s website.

Flyer printing can be an innovative way to spread information to the community about events like this.

The Fishing Clinic will take place on March 25 at Ballard Park, Melbourne, Florida. The session begins at 9:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm.
