The locally based Brevard Watercolor Society will host a painting display show this February.
The event is the Splash of Color 2023 Paint Display and Sale, where patrons will get the opportunity to view and purchase original paintings from artists at the venue, as well as internationally recognized watercolor artists. There will also be a number of engagement activities during the program, and guests can vote for their preferred candidates in the People’s Choice Awards. Other entertainment activities include gift basket raffles and giveaways, silent auctions, and healthy food offers.
The show is a weeklong affair where attendees may choose a variety of exhibitions to explore. The special attraction for the event is the Paint Around. This involves multiple artists taking turns to work on a painting. The canvas is passed around from the original artist to all other painters, until the painting comes back to the original artist who began its work. The final result is a creative masterpiece that will be sold at the end of the event.
The cost of entry will be free for all attendees. Graphic design offers numerous avenues for participants to create new Forms of art at events like this.
