Bakas Equestrian Center in Lutz will hold the Bakas Charity Open Breed Western & Ranch Fall/Winter Pleasure Series 1 of 3 next month to raise funds for its equine therapy program.
Bakas Equestrian Center is an equestrian therapy center for children and adults living with a variety of mental and physical disabilities. The center offers riding lessons, recreational riding, camps, workshops, and challenge shows. To further improve riders’ quality of life, the center also offers social and support groups as well as networking.
The upcoming event will be Series 1 of 3 of the Bakas Fall/Winter Charity Show Series, which is a benefit horse show that raises money for the Bakas programs. The show will be focused on western and ranch riding, with multiple tiers of competitors. Organizers invite the local equestrian community to come out and participate in friendly competition among friends. The show will also be open to all breeds of horses.

The Bakas Charity Open is slated for September 7, beginning at 9:00 am. Preregistration is at discounted rate and is highly recommended. Registrations will be due the Friday night before the show. It will be held at Lake Park, located at 17302 North Dale Mabry Highway, Lutz.
