This February, those in Lutz looking to enjoy activities not related to commercial Valentine’s Day should note that Higher Growth Journey is organizing a community hike open to all.
Higher Growth Journey is a local non-profit dedicated to serving families and individuals through wellness initiatives, community outreach, and social support systems. The non-profit offers monthly food and outreach services to those living with homelessness and provides movement-based and wellness programs for the entire community, such as the community hike happening in February.
The hike is called No Roses. Just Real People, framing the hike as an alternative to the more commercial methods of celebrating the so-called month of love. The guided hike will offer a chance to initiate real connections with like-minded people, with an emphasis on fresh air, movement, and showing up as one’s authentic self. There will also be an optional donation opportunity that will go towards the non-profit’s Feed the Homeless Outreach.
Hiking events like this will often be advertised through Flyers hung up in health clubs, gyms, or even public trailhead bulletin boards. As such, to get the word out, organizers may request the flyer printing services of local Print shops in their area.
The Lutz community hike is scheduled for February 21 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. It will take place at Violet Cury Preserve, located at 1802 Sinclair Hills Road, Lutz.
