Arts and culture to be celebrated in Largo

A hands-on celebration of culture and art will be taking place on the campus of Creative Pinellas in Largo later this month.

Known as Festivale 50, it offers attendees the chance to enjoy various cuisines and experience many kinds of activities, such as engaging with the Pinellas Community Foundation ACT II working artists, playing the drums of The Florida Orchestra, trying a pottery wheel, and listening to the Ruth Eckerd Hall traveling chorus, oboe and other musical instruments. Activities will take place in the auditorium and gallery, on the grassy knoll, and on the outside stage.

Those with a $50 membership to the Pinellas Community Foundation (PCF) are admitted for free while the cost for non-members is $30. Funds collected from the festival go towards the Pinellas Community Foundation in its charitable giving in supporting culture and the arts in Pinellas County. Various kinds of Promotional Products can be used to highlight the activities of such organizations and their contributions to the community at large.

CEO of the Pinellas Community Foundation, Duggan Cooley, commented that funding for the arts has been reduced in recent years in the state and he appreciates the support of such organizations as WEDU PBS, Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC, the Tampa Bay Times, and several others for their sponsorship of this event.

The festival will be taking place on Friday February 22 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
