The annual STEM Explorer Fest and Touch-A-Truck event will be coming to the city of Largo next month.
This event will offer hands-on science, exciting vehicles, and fun for the family for people of all ages. At the Touch-A-Truck event, attendees will be able to explore, climb, and get a close-up look at utility trucks, public safety vehicles, boats, and construction equipment. What these vehicles do and how they serve the community will be shared by helpers from community at the event. The STEM Explorer Fest is carried out in partnership with the Pinellas County Schools and will offer interactive science stations designed to inspire young learners and spark curiosity.
There will be beverage and food vendors on site with options from the local community for attendees to enjoy throughout the day. The Largo Central Railroad will be offering free rides, adding to the fun experiences of the day.
Applications are being accepted by the city of Largo for participants with motorcycles, trucks, boats, helicopters, planes, and other interesting vehicles. Local Print shops can help promote such special events and encourage participation by the community.
This event will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17 at Largo Central Park. From 10:00 am to noon there will be a sensory-friendly period with no horns or noisemakers, and softer music.
