The annual open house hosted by Largo Fire Rescue will be at Largo Fire Station 39 on Jackson Street later this month.
Such events can benefit from poster printing to help promote them throughout a community.
The open house will feature fire safety demonstrations and interactive activities for people of all ages. Attendees will be able to explore emergency vehicles and fire trucks up close, and can learn more about emergency responses and the equipment used for these. Appearances will also be made by Sparky the Fire Dog throughout the open house and will engage with families and children while promoting awareness of fire safety.
Among the featured demonstrations:
• the Largo Rapid Intervention Team will showcase a firefighter rescue scenario, illustrating how crews quickly and safely extract a trapped firefighter during an emergency incident.
• the Largo Extrication Team will perform a Vehicle Extrication Demo, demonstrating the precise use of specialized rescue tools to free occupants from crashed vehicles.
• a Fire Sprinkler Burn Demo will highlight how automatic fire sprinklers rapidly suppress flames, significantly limiting damage and protecting both homes and businesses.
Other activities during the open house will include Largo Play Express, face painting, and other experiences for all the family. Proceeds from food and beverages sales with proceeds will support the Benevolent Florida Firefighters.
The open house will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 28.
