Women in business empowered through networking

The Lakeland chapter of a Florida-based women’s group, will be hosting its next meeting in a couple of weeks.

Small business owners and professional women will have the opportunity, to establish beneficial business relationships and find lasting friendships.

Power Gals members connect by exchanging Business Cards, brainstorming business building ideas, and discovering new opportunities to collaborate on revenue-generating projects. Determining ways to connect with their neighbors and to help the local community are also discussed.

One of the core beliefs of this networking community is that consumers and fellow members tend to use businesses they know of and trust. By building relationships with each other, they are establishing future demand for their product or service. Members are routinely encouraged to create referral networks, using and recommending fellow Power Gals establishments.

Power Gals held its first meeting in January of 2018, with 10 women in attendance. Since that time, the networking group has expanded to 12 chapters throughout the state of Florida. Membership is open to small business owners seeking ways to grow their business, as well as professional women from a variety of industries, who are interested in building their careers. Members have their business featured on the directory page of the Power Gals website.

The monthly meetings are usually hosted at a fellow member’s establishment, thereby supporting local business. Next month’s meeting of the Lakeland chapter of Power Gals will be held at Hillcrest Coffee, located at 119 Hillcrest Street, on Tuesday, April 13th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Information about Florida’s other chapters meetings and events can be found on the Power Gals website.
