An art centered location is bringing together history and festivity with a class in mid-December.
Green Van Gogh Christmas gives Lakeland locals a chance to not only pay tribute to the festive time of year, but also learn how to make a piece of art using a technique inspired by an iconic painter.
One of the skills guests will go over is how to emulate the style Vincent Van Gogh famously used in “Starry Night.” The teacher will also help guests add classic Christmas elements to give their art a festive feel.
This is an event geared mainly towards those who are 21+. However, people between 15 and 20 are also permitted, as long as they do not drink any alcohol. The venue operates under a BYOB practice, only providing corkscrews and cups. In addition to beverages, food is also allowed to be brought in.
Using the company’s webpage, interested parties can purchase their spots for $39 a piece. If planning to sit with friends who are paying individually, group members should make note of their buddies, so the staff can arrange the seating to accommodate everyone.
Participants should plan on arriving at the studio at least 15 minutes before the listed start time in order to get comfortable. Art classes are commonly advertised with several techniques, one being flyer printing, as this allows for a wider reach to potentially interested parties.
The activity is scheduled for 1:00pm to 3:00pm on December 10th.
