Lakeland show plays hits from legendary album

Classic Albums Live will perform Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles at the RP Center in Lakeland this summer.

Craig Martin started Classic Albums Live in 2003. The show features musicians playing some of the most celebrated top albums of all time, with every note and cut identical to the original.

Martin states the musicians do not impersonate the singers of the original songs, nor wear costumes. The show is all about the music.

Traveling around North America, the group does over 100 shows each year at theatres and centers for performing arts.

Martin added that Classic Albums Live has evolved over time because of its nostalgia factor. The albums they perform have been revered for generations and they perform them exactly as they were written.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band came out in 1967. Not only does it have two versions of the title track, the album also features the iconic song ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’.

Tickets are $33 or $44 depending on the seating section. The performance will be June 19 in the Youkey Theatre of the RP Funding Center at 701 West Lime Street. The show goes from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm and the doors open an hour before the show.

Flyer printing and distribution is a popular way to advertise concerts.
