A Lakeland initiative that transforms its downtown into an outdoor community party has set the date for its November installment, during which it will salute area armed forces members and veterans.
Just Cares, Inc. is working on its USO Dancing Under the Stars: A Salute to our Armed Forces, and the activities will be on offer along Tennessee and Kentucky Avenues. While there will be some parking provided, people are encouraged to carpool.
The route included in the day will be closed off to motor vehicle traffic, and Munn Park will feature a live band and dancing. Everyone can stop by the makers’ market so they can snag some gifts for the upcoming holiday season, and a car show and food trucks will add an extra dash of fun to the evening. Many of the merchants and eateries in Lakeland's downtown will be open late.
By hosting a special community celebration, an event may encourage both locals and visitors alike to explore all a community has to offer. Banner printing services for such an event will be available at a Print shop.
This salute to the nation’s armed forces will bring the fun to Lakeland on Friday, November 3. It will kick off at 6:00 pm, and the dance floor will be open at the park until 9:00 pm.
