Lakeland car auction returns for the winter

Carlisle Auctions and Carlisle Events will hold an auction during the scheduled dates for this year's Winterfest in Lakeland.

The annual Winter Autofest Lakeland has been postponed until next year. The Winter Collector Car Auction will still take place at the SUN 'n FUN Expo Campus at 4175 Medulla Road.

More than 400 cars are displayed at the auction. Sellers of collector cars 25 years old or older pay almost no fees unless their vehicle is sold, although since this guarantee applies to a refund, there are a few exclusions. Sellers must pay all fees when they register a car, which they can do at the auction or beforehand. The goal of this technique is to motivate sellers to try to sell more cars at the auction without the fear of losing money should the car not have a buyer.

In addition to this incentive, Carlisle Auctions and Carlisle Events will set up limited spaces for featured cars. Chosen cars will be located in the indoor auction space. Sellers who would like their vehicle to be considered for a featured car position can indicate it on their paperwork. Carlisle Auctions will make the ultimate decision.

Registration for cars is $400, plus an additional $200 if the car is selected as a featured vehicle.

The Winter Collector Car Auction will start at 10:30am on February 19 and 20. Promotional Pens are useful with auctions, perhaps advertising sponsors and other organizations as bidders use them to make notes.
