Print Companies in Lakeland

Print companies in Lakeland, Florida, provide a wide range of services to companies in this mid-Florida city. Whether a company needs letterheads, banners, brochures, business cards, or any other product or service, print companies can help.

Early days

Native Americans have been in this area for thousands of years. Some of the earliest tribes were the Calusa, Timucua, and Tocobago, but the arrival of Spanish explorers in the 1500s was disastrous for the native peoples, many of whom were killed, enslaved, or died of diseases brought from Europe, against which they had no defense. Today, little is left of these cultures except a few archaeological remains. However, Creek Indians came to the area from the north and merged with the few remaining members of the early tribes to become the people known as the Seminoles. Although most Seminoles today live in Oklahoma, the Seminole Tribe of Florida is a vital and important component of the area’s population. The tribe operates the Kissimmee-Billie Swamp Safari, the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, and a number of gaming venues in the region.

Organizations like these can benefit by enlisting brochure printers in Lakeland, to illustrate their history as well as explaining how to find and enjoy the attractions they operate.

Growth and development

Settlement in what became Lakeland started around the 1870s, but real development didn’t begin until the railroad came to the region in 1884. Abraham Munn, who came from Louisville, Kentucky, founded the town when he bought 80 acres near what is now the downtown. The community, which was incorporated in 1885, got its name from the many lakes nearby.

In the 1920s, Florida experienced a real estate boom, during which many buildings were constructed in Lakeland that have since been put on the National Register of Historic Places. Among these are the Terrace Hotel, the Frances Langford Promenade, and the Polk Theatre. There are also several historic districts in Lakeland with buildings that also date to this period, and to the 1940s.

Attractions like these can benefit if the work with postcard printing companies, which can create cards with photos of historic buildings, which might then be offered for sale.

Lakeland today

The lakes for which the city is named are some of its most prominent features, as there are 38 named lakes and many more unnamed ones in the area. The largest is Lake Parker, which covers 2,550 acres, and is a major landmark. The city offers more than 60 parks and facilities that are managed by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Parks are a wonderful place for people to display banners they’ve worked with banner printing companies to create. Whether they’re celebrating a birthday or marking the finish line of a race, banners work well outside because they’re sturdy and can be used repeatedly.

Lakeland also boasts a number of businesses both large and small, including national chains like Publix Supermarket, and individually owned enterprises. In order to communicate with customers and present themselves well, businesses can work with stationery printers to create eye-catching letterheads that capture the brand. This classic stationery may be the only contact between a company and a potential consumer, so it must be pristine.

Companies can also benefit by working with business card printing companies to create this classic business tool for their employees. Small companies and single-owner operations might choose digital business cards, since these can be run off in very small quantities, which results in a cost savings.
