Businesspeople to connect at yearly Lakeland event

The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting this February.

The occasion will serve two purposes. Firstly, it will be the opportunity to award several outstanding businesses in the Lakeland community. These businesses have either contributed to the overall improvement of life for residents, or have done an exemplary job while giving back to the community.

The second function will be the annual general meeting, where the new board is elected for the upcoming year. The new members of the board will be sworn in as the previous ones stand down from their positions in what is known as the 'passing of the gavel' ceremony.

Individual tickets for the event will cost $75, and include open seating. Those who prefer corporate tables may purchase reserved seating for $850. These tables will hold up to eight people. Ticket purchases can be made on the Lakeland County Chamber website.

For further information about tickets, sponsorship or general event questions, interested parties may email Shannon Powers at spowers@lakelandchamber.com. Brochure printing is a good way to give information to attendees at events like these.

This meeting will be held on Saturday, February 22 at the RP Funding Center, which is located at 701 West Lime Street, Lakeland, Florida 33815. The ceremony begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 8:15 pm.
