Burgerim, a gourmet burger chain based in Los Angeles, will soon have a location in Lakeland.
According to a phone interview with Tom Meiron, CEO of the restaurant, the first establishment in Lakeland will be at 5505 S. Florida Avenue at Maryoma Plaza. Burgerim has a variety unlike other chains, and he believes that this, along with ingredients at the gourmet level, will put it ahead of other burger joints.
Burgerim is opening over 150 locations in the nation this year. Over 30 of those establishments will be in Florida, with Boca Raton and Miami already having their own. There are also locations in 17 other states, including Arizona, Georgia, New York, Connecticut, Texas, and Ohio.
Customers enjoy the variety at Burgerim. There are three kinds of bread bun, 2.8-ounce meat patties in 11 varieties like chicken, salmon, falafel, turkey, and five types of beef. These are complemented by 12 topibgs including fried egg, bacon, jalapenos, mushrooms, lettuce, mixed greens and four kinds of cheese. Mieron adds that a customer would have to order over 40 million sandwiches to try all of the combinations available. There is also chicken, sides, salads, potato fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries, and Coca-Cola drinks.
The restaurant is set to open in the fall. New restaurants often give away promotional Pens and other items at their grand openings.
