TEDxJacksonville Conference 2021 will be at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts towards the end of the month. The theme this year will be “Embrace.”
Topics for the afternoon will include renaming Jacksonville schools, mental health crises in the workplace, domestic violence initiatives, patient research partners, decolonizing philanthropy, and world-changing stories. Some other topics will be how to deal with pain and achieving equity through the arts.
Two live musical performances will be given by Jacksonville natives. Producer, keyboardist and musician Bronero will present jazz and hip hop on drum machines, analog synthesizers and samplers. The Good Pluck Trio will play tunes from pop, jazz, and classical genres.
Attendees at conferences such as these often ask speakers and performers for their Business Cards so they can reach them for future engagements.
Tickets are available online. In-person general admission is $99 for both sessions and $79 for high school and college students with ID. Virtual tickets are $59 and $39 respectively.
The Bread and Board is offering pre-purchased boxed lunches for $15 to attendees when they register for the conference. Guests can take the short walk to the VyStar building breezeway at 76 Laura Street between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm, and pick up their lunches on the ground floor.
The TEDxJacksonville Conference 2021 will take place Saturday, October 23 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, 300 Water Street.
