The music festival Jacksonville Porch Fest will be returning to the porches of Historic Springfield in early November. This will be the seventh year for the family-friendly event.
Over 20 performers and bands will be taking their places on porches and in parks between 3rd and 8th Streets, just east of Main Street.
Music enthusiasts are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on the lawns and stroll from performance to performance. The distance between performances is minimal and the roads will be closed. This will make the event safe for children, bicycles, and pedestrians. People-friendly pets on leashes will be welcomed.
Food trucks will be lining the streets selling treats and beverages and festival T-Shirts will be available for purchase. Proceeds from both food and shirts for this event will go to support the festival and arts-related activities in the downtown Jacksonville area.
The event is being presented by Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council, and businesses can purchase one of the three sponsorship levels, ranging from $7500 to $20,000. Each level of sponsorship offers the business name and Logo Design printed on festival advertising, Promotional Products, varying numbers of VIP passes, tickets to the Patrons Party, and ‘swag Bags’.
Porch Fest will be free and will take place on November 7th from noon until 8pm in downtown Jacksonville’s Historic Springfield.
