Virtual Run Challenge is presenting 2020 Revenge of the Bird Virtual 5k Turkey Trot- Jacksonville at the beginning of November.
This will be a virtual race so participants can choose their own indoor or outdoor locations, run their 5K distances and upload their results on the Virtual Run Challenge website.
Tickets for USA and Military APO will be $35 and for those runners outside of the USA, fees will be $50. Swag includes Tyvek race bib, buff (runner’s face and neck mask), and spinner finisher medals, both sporting the colorful turkey insignia. Orange and white long-sleeved shirts with the event’s graphic design are also available for $20. The first 500 to register will get free Turkey Trot sock. Swag will be sent starting November 1 as soon as results have been posted.
This year, teams can enter the Biggest Team Challenge and winners will be chosen November 20. Members of the winning team will receive special Biggest Flock Patches that will be sent through the mail.
This year the race will also have a Kids Virtual 1 Mile. Registration fees will be $17 and can be added to the adult registration.
Interested runners need to register as soon as possible as there is a participation limit. The hashtag for this event is #RevengeoftheBirdTurkeyTrot.
This year’s event will go online Sunday, November 1 at noon. Results must be posted by Saturday, December 12 no later than 11:30 am.
