Jacksonville treated to two festivals

The Jacksonville Caribbean, Carnival, Parade, Festival and Concert will be coming to Jacksonville in late August while the 9th Annual R.A.W. Music Festival and Classic Car Show will be coming in late September.

The Jacksonville Caribbean Parade will step off at noon and will go along Beach Boulevard.

Meanwhile the Festival Village will also open at noon with Caribbean cuisine, a dance competition and live performances from international and local entertainers.

Tickets are $20.

The Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival, Parade, Festival and Concert will take place Saturday, August 23rd from noon to 9:00 pm at the Salaam Club, 8101 Beach Boulevard.

The two-day 9th Annual R.A.W. Music Festival and Classic Car Show will feature live music from local bands, beverages and food for sale, and activities for the kids. Vendors will be on site and there will be raffles and silent auctions. Golf carts will be available for rent and there will be camping sites available.

R.A.W. stands for Raising Awareness with Music for MS and proceeds will go to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

The Classic Car Show will run from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The 9th Annual R.A.W. Music Festival will take place from Friday, September 26th at 5:00 pm to Saturday the 27th at 9:00 pm at Flamingo Lake RV Resort, 3640 Newcomb Road.
