Jacksonville runners are signing up to run the Time Travel Half Marathon, 10k and 5k coming towards the end of January.
This will be a family-friendly race featuring a time travel theme, where runners will be racing through "time periods" along the course.
Registration will be $64 for the half marathon, $40 for the 5k or 10k, $20 for the one mile, and $15 for the shorter Kids’ Dash (for runners 10 years old and younger).
Swag for the adult races will be soft T-Shirts and custom bibs. Custom 3.5-inch finisher medals will go to the 5k and 10k runners and 6-inch finisher medals will go to the half marathon racers. Kids’ Dash participants will receive youth-sized T-shirts, kids’ dash pins, medals, and mini bibs. Registration must be completed before Thursday, January 16 to be sure of getting T-shirts. Organizers of many events like this reach out to local Print shops to have the event's graphic designs printed on the shirts.
Packets will be available from 7:30 am to 8:45 am on race day. The Kids’ Dash will begin at 8:55 am with the other races starting at 9:00 am.
Awards will go to overall female and male finishers, female and male Masters for those runners aged 40 and over, and top three female and male finishers across 14 age categories.
The run will take place Sunday, January 19 at Ed Austin Regional McCormick Road.
