Floridians, especially Jacksonville ocean conservationists, will be flocking to Florida Fin Fest for a two-day music, education, and ocean conservation festival.
Education village will feature a mobile planetarium, an immersive underwater experience and touch tanks. Science experts and renowned guest speakers will give talks, and festivalgoers may take part on panels discussing topics such as marine conservation, water quality, and marine debris.
The village will also feature businesses that focus on conservation, sustainability, and environmentally friendly practices. Guests who attend events like this often collect Business Cards from those exhibitors who especially interest them.
Moon Taxi and Hall & Oates’ John Oates will have performances on the Blue Jay Listening Room Stage. Other performers will include Honey Hounds, Fortune Childs, The Ries Brothers, The Band be Easy, and El Castillo.
A number of food trucks will at the venue selling summer treats, snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Proceeds from this event will go to OCEARCH, a non-profit organization funding research that helps restore the ocean to its natural balance and abundance.
Although the event will be free, two-day all-inclusive single day VIP tickets are $75 and weekend passes are $100. These tickets include preferred viewing for the concerts, meeting with artists, complimentary food and beverages, shaded lounge, air-conditioned bathrooms, and chances for raffle prizes.
Florida Fin Fest will take place rain or shine beginning at noon on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 at the Seawalk Pavilion, Jacksonville Beach.
