Jacksonville offers spring festival and food event

Many Jacksonville kids, families and pets will be heading to the 4th Annual Jacksonville Spring Fest and Jackson Eats coming in mid-April.

The Spring Fest will be a community gathering where children may meet the Easter Bunny, bounce in a bounce house, get their faces painted and enjoy Easter Egg hunts. Those aged 5 and under will start their hunt at noon followed by the 6 and over crowd beginning at 12:30 pm.

Each sponsor and vendor has been asked to donate 50 Easter eggs filled with bracelets, candy, stickers and other kid-friendly items for the hunts.

Treats and food will be available from local food trucks, and performances and music will be on the venue stage.

Proceeds will go to I See You Nicu, a nonprofit organization that supports families with children in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The free 4th Annual Jacksonville Spring Fest will take place Sunday, April 13th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Riverside Artist Square, 725 Riverside Avenue.

Jackson Eats will be taking place at the Walk right after the festival from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This will be an outdoor food event where attendees will sample food from local food trucks and choose their favorite.

Food trucks at events like these often get their paper products printed with their names and slogans at local Print shops.
