Gate River Run, the largest 15K in the nation, is slated for early March. Runners will go through Downtown Jacksonville and over two bridges.
The top 5,000 seeded numbers will be placed in Wave 1 and non-seeded runners will be in Waves 2 through 4, according to expected pace per mile.
Entry fees for the in-person 15K are $60 in February and $70 in March, $40 until February 28 and going up to $50 in March for the 5K; $60 and $70 for the virtual 15K; and $40 and $50 for the Virtual 5K.
The first of the four in-person 15K waves will begin at 8:00 am. They will be followed at 8:30 am with the 5K for Charity run. The Brooks Rehabilitation Challenge will start at 10:00 am with the Junior River Run and the Diaper Dash following at 11:00 am.
A Runner’s Expo will take place March 3, 4, and 5 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds at 510 Fairgrounds Place. Times will be divided into two-hour sessions. About 2,000 visitors will be allowed in each session. Over 200 booths selling race-related items will be located behind the 1st Place Sports and Sponsor area. The public is invited to attend.
Businesses that rent booths at events such as this usually bring Business Cards for passers-by wishing to get in touch with them afterward.
The Gate River Run will take place at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds, Fairground Place, on March 5, with the Runner’s Expo for the day taking place just before it.
