Festival celebrates the shark

Florida Fin Fest will be an informative music festival with the purpose of educating the public about sharks and their place in the ocean’s ecosystems.

Live music will consist of over 20 artists and bands such as Badfish’s Tribute to Sublime, the Honey Hounds, Chillula, and the Band Be Easy. Saturday’s headliner will be Blue Öyster Cult.

The festival village will provide space for sustainability-focused merchants, societies, and non-profits. Food trucks will be onsite selling snacks and drinks.

Although general admission will be free, special $100 Early Bird Weekend VIP passes, and $75 single-day passes will include meet and greets with the artists, raffle tickets for a prize package filled with sponsor Promotional Products and other donations, access to VIP bars, and access to the preferred viewing area at the concerts. The Local Neptune Beach will provide free food and drinks.

The festival is being organized by OCEARCH, a research organization generating data through tracking and studying marine life.
