Those here in Jacksonville wishing to explore the city will have two outdoor options – an Art Bike Tour and a Secret Walking Tour.
Art Bikes Jax has teamed up with The Florida Theatre to present Art Bike Tour 2023. The two-hour guided tour will begin at 128 E. Forsyth Street at the Florida Theater and will take participants through local architecture, points of interests, and parks in and around Downtown Jacksonville. The guide will be founder of Art Bikes Jax, Ron Rothberg.
The $50 tickets will include gift Bags, a bike trip, and a tour through the Florida Theatre. Use of Art Bikes will be available to the first 10 people to arrive at the theater before each of the three timeslots, which are 10:00 am, 12:00 noon, and 2:00 pm. All others must bring their own transportation. Art Bike Tour 2023 will be Saturday, January 28.
Author Bill Delaney will bring his book “Secret Jacksonville: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful and Obscure" to life with a Secret Jacksonville walking tour in mid-February. He will regale the participants with tales both fictional and true about Downtown Jax.
Guests will meet at James Weldon Johnson Park, 135 West Monroe Street on Saturday, February 11. Tickets are $15 pre-event and $20 at the park. Signed Copies of his book are available for $22.50.
Organizers often have pictures taken during tours such as these, and have the photos taken to local Print shops to be included in advertising materials.
