Kanine Social will be presenting its 3rd annual Hope, Hounds and Halloween 5k as a fundraiser for the Jacksonville Humane Society in mid-October.
It will be a dog and family friendly event where dogs may run or walk with participants or opt to hangout in Kanine Social's dog park.
Registration and check-in will run from 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Everyone is invited to participate in a Halloween costume contest. Judging will begin at 8:00 am.
A starting wave for those wishing to run without their furry friends will be the first wave of the event. Right after the first wave, pets will get their own pet costume contest, and the 5k runners with their dogs will begin their race at 8:45 am. A VyStar Fun Run will begin at 9:30 am.
The after party will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with vendors, live music and awards ceremony around 9:45 am.
Registration for The Hops, Hounds and Halloween 5k will be $30 and $20 for the Fun Run and Costume Contest.
Swag for the 5k will include race shirts and Pint Glasses displaying the event's Logo Design, one beverage, one raffle ticket, one free pass to the dog park and finisher medals. Fun Run participants will get race bandanas and "doggie" Bags.
Hope, Hounds, and Halloween 5k and VyStar Fun Run and Costume Contest will take place Saturday, October 12th, at Kanine Social, 580 College Street.
