The Cummer Museum in Jacksonville will be presenting two in-person concerts early in March, and a tour later in the month.
The first concert will be on March 6 and doors will open at 4:30 pm. The concert will run from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
A live 10-piece orchestra, LPT Salsa, will play high-energy Afro-Cuban music and socially distanced reserved tables of up to 10 attendees will be scattered around the venue’s garden. The second concert will also be on March 6, but will run from 8:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.
Tickets for both concerts will be $25 for members and $35 for non-members. Tables can be reserved for $500. Guests are also invited to bring their own chairs and blankets. Both performances will be presented indoor if the weather becomes a problem.
On March 20, the museum will offer a garden tour called, “Behind the Leaves.” A garden docent will lead guests through the Olmsted, Italian and English gardens relating how they maintain the property. Guests will receive glasses of prosecco to enjoy while they amble. Tickets will be $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Museum patrons often like to donate monetarily through individual or Corporate Gifts. However, many buy items at the museum’s online shop. The shop offers Mugs, hoodies, canvas Totes, and T-Shirts featuring a Black Art Matters graphic design.
