An upcoming event in Hialeah will put fans of a popular sport in a pickle.
The Yards at Amelia, an indoor sports facility for pickleball players, recently announced their First Annual Moneyball Pickleball Tournament. The Pickleball Management Group (PMG) is directing the event, which will take place indoors to beat the Florida heat.
As much as $9,000 in prize money is available, and prizes will be awarded in every division. The tournament teams will be organized by the skills of the players involved. Pickleball has a scale of ranks depending on these abilities. For instance, a player rated between 1.0 and 2.0 is someone who has no background in any other sports, has just begun playing pickleball, and has only a minimal understanding of pickleball rules. The ranks go up to 5.5 and above, which designates a top-notch player who wins tournaments and performs at a high level consistently.
Attendees at the event will meet vendors, and enjoy raffles, food, and giveaways of goodie Bags, and more. Each player will receive one raffle ticket for free, and can purchase more for $5. Purchasing a ticket allows entry to a mini game of DinkMaster.
The tournament is scheduled for September 5 and 6, at The Yards, which is located at 7551 West 4th Avenue in Hialeah. Events like this give attendees a perfect opportunity to gather Business Cards from various vendors.
