A community event suitable for all is returning to Gladeview, just a few miles from Hialeah.
Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces is presenting the next session of Boots & Beats, a class where people have a chance to learn how to line dance. The upcoming event is part of a series that began in May. The class is a chance for people to try something new, and is suitable for both experienced dancers and newcomers.
Boots & Beats, the organizers, describe the benefits of attending the class. First, it encourages physical activity and line dancing is a low-impact, fun method of staying physically fit. Secondly, dancing helps to reduce stress. Thirdly, it gives adults from the area a chance to meet neighbors and make connections in supportive, safe surroundings. Finally, the class provides positive energy and upbeat music in the neighborhood.
Participants are advised to stay hydrated by bringing water, wear comfortable clothes, and attend with a desire to have fun.
The Boots & Beats class is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 at Gwen Cherry Park, which is located at 7090 NW 22nd Avenue. It is open to adults 18 and older, and is free. Planners of events like this can use flyer printing to create handouts to be distributed in the local area to advertise the class.
