Hialeah to celebrate Recovery Month with community resource fair

The South Florida Wellness Network will organize an event at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah as part of National Recovery Month.

The South Florida Recovery Month Event is a community fair that gives people convenient access to local health resources. The theme for this year’s celebration is Every Journey, Every Path, Every Person. There will be many things to do at the resource fair, such as listening to inspiring speeches, participating in family-friendly activities, and live performances. People can also browse food trucks and take part in wellness experiences.

An organization that wishes to promote peer-driven recovery efforts in the community, the South Florida Wellness Network helps people on their recovery journeys. The group has several community centers, including locations in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Miami. There are many programs led by the wellness network, such as Together in Recovery, Step by Step, and SMART Recovery. The organization also holds meditation sessions and networking events.

The recovery month celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no cost for guests to attend the resource fair, though people may register for the event in advance. Businesses can pay between $1,000 and $5,000 to become a sponsor for the event. Health organizations that host similar fairs can promote their sponsors by using banner printing services.
