Hialeah family day to benefit local college

Miami Dade College (MDC) will organize a family-friendly fundraising event in August at its Hialeah campus.

The Kids and Family Festival is a community program where families can enjoy kid-friendly activities and performances at the MDC Hialeah Campus. The funds earned at the festival will support the college’s I AM MDC program. Those at the event can partake in activities like arts and crafts, face painting, and bounce houses. There will also be a Kids’ Activity Business Expo at the campus. Free back-to-school photos will be available to students.

I AM MDC is an annual program at Miami Dade College that includes a multi-day celebration of the campus with several spirited activities. The money raised throughout I AM MDC will help the college with funding scholarships and campus programs. Many notable organizations have shown their support for I AM MDC, such as the Supreme Twins Foundation, the City of Doral, and VITAS Healthcare. The program has raised over $1m since it was created.

The kid-friendly fundraising fest will be held on Saturday, August 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. There is no cost for families to attend the festival or participate in the activities and giveaways. However, people can reserve their spots in advance. Organizations that plan family events like this can use poster printing services to make ads that will be noticed by families.
