Hialeah men to make dinner in November contest

Men who struggle to confidently make their way around a kitchen are invited to step up to the challenge in Hialeah.

National Men Make Dinner Day will take place next month and will give men the opportunity to learn basics of cooking and gain confidence in the kitchen as they create some culinary treats for friends and families.

Participants will choose a recipe from their source of choice, getting bonus points for finding recipes outside of the house. The main meal recipe must include at least four ingredients. Male participants will be responsible for doing the grocery shopping in advance and will organize the ingredients in logical order on the countertop. TVs are not allowed to be turned on, but radios or CDs are allowed. No other people should be in the kitchen.

Continuing with the rules, the men must clean as they go, set the table, pour the beverages and prepare to serve family members. After the dinner, the men must clean the table, load the dishwasher, and clean the kitchen.

The Hialeah National Men Make Dinner Day will take place November 5. Participants are encouraged to take pictures of their cooking adventure and post in social media. Some graphic design can always be added to images that are going to be posted for a creative and fun touch.
