Fashion workshops coming to Hialeah residents

Fashion enthusiasts from across Miami and surrounding communities such as Hialeah can learn more about the Over-Lock Serger machine next month.

An Over-Lock Serger workshop will teach sewing concepts for making bathing suits, leotards, leggings, and more clothing items. Special techniques for threading and stitching on knitted fabrics will be a focus for those using an over-lock machine. Elastic, as well as lining processes, will also be addressed during the class.

This workshop will allow a maximum of five students so each person can expect personalized instruction. The instructor will issue a certificate of completion at the conclusion. The cost of the workshop is $160 per person and includes all materials. A special $25 credit toward the next course, “How to Make Bathing Suits1” will be offered at this event and must be used within four months of receipt.

Flyer printing is an effective method to use to communicate workshops and classes. The Flyers can be printed in full or limited color and can contain all the important and interesting aspects about the event. They can be distributed throughout the communities surrounding the organization hosting the event to create interest.

The Over-Lock Serger workshop will take place Friday, January 29 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. It will be held at The Fashion Institute of South Florida located at 771 NE 125 Street.
