Dunedin organizes community garage sale
Many Dunedin households will be giving their home a good fall clean up, and a local event may help them turn their unwanted items into someone else’s treasure next month.
The city has set the date for its November Community Garage Sale. Welcoming shoppers for four hours, it is described as being a fun-filled day with opportunities for residents to meet their neighbors.
The activity is scheduled for the Hale Senior Activity Center. Each space is 10 feet by 10 feet in size and costs $15 to book, although not-for-profit groups are welcome to take part free of charge. Sellers must drop by the Center in advance to reserve and choose their space.
Community flea markets, tag sales, and other temporary activities bring people together, while also helping to keep unwanted items away from area solid waste management systems. Seller packs that include pricing stickers, market rules, sales tips, and other information can be prepared for a pop-up sale by area brochure printing companies.
The Dunedin Community Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, November 15. It is being organized by the City of Dunedin Parks and Recreation Department, and it will be open from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon. More details for anyone interested in taking part can be found on the city’s website or by calling the organizers at 727-298-3299.
