Ravens star hosts fun day for kids

Lamar Jackson, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, will be holding a two-day event for Coral Springs kids in the early part of July.

The first day, Saturday, July 9, will be the 4th Annual Free Funday with LJ. Free snacks will go to the first 500 kids. The venue will feature waterslides, a bounce house, game truck, and obstacle course. All participants must report to the registration tent to sign waivers before proceeding to the activities. This event will begin at 11:00 am and end around 3:30 pm.

On Sunday, July 10, from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, Jackson will hold his Second Annual 7vs7 Tackle Football Tournament. Registration for girls’ (ages 10 and under, 12 and under, and 14 and under) teams will be $400. Varsity boys’ teams (ages 15 and under) will be $500 per team.

Money from this event will go to Lamar Jackson’s Forever Dreamers, a non-profit organization giving inner-city children opportunities to explore options and fulfill their dreams.

For Jackson to interact with the children effectively on both event days, he has asked that no autographs, social media, videos, or photos be taken. There will be, however, a designated media crew taking pictures and videos that will be taken to local Print shops to be used for future Funday and Tournament advertising purposes.

The event will be held at Mullins Park, 10000 NW 29th Street.
