Coral Springs annual Oktoberfest will occur in mid-October and Athletica Health and Fitness will present its Haunted Walk/Fair/Carnival at the end of the month.
Entertainment at Oktoberfest will include Schuhplattlers, a Bavarian courtship dance in which the women dances in waltz –like manner while the male circles her slapping his soles and thighs and swinging his arms vigorously, Swinging Bavarians, a German band complete with yodeling and cowbells, and King Ludwig’s Tapping of the Keg.
Authentic German cuisine and Bavarian treats will be available for sale, and a beer garden will be serving German wines and Bavarian beers.
Activities will include Yodeling and Beer Stein Holding contests and a kids’ area featuring Rapunzel.
This year’s Oktoberfest will be Saturday, October 16th from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on the City Hall’s great lawn in Downtown Coral Springs.
Cities that sponsor events such as this often have the pictures shot during the event taken to local Print shops to become part of the city’s visitor guide brochure printing.
At the end of the month, Athletica Health & Fitness will present its free Haunted Walk/Fair and Carnival.
The Haunted Walk will lead brave residents to the largest haunted house ever. Guests can also enjoy free rides, games, food, Carnival machines and win prizes. There will also be free goodies and raffles.
