The arrival of March means it will soon be time for the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts.
This will be the 12th year for the festival that draws between 30,000 and 40,000 people from all over Southern Florida.
More than 175 contemporary crafters and fine artisans will be competing in the juried event. The 11 workshops presented by authors, and literary educators will begin the first morning and continue through the event. Entertainment on the two stages will feature many aspects of the arts including dance, theatre, music, and literary performances.
Gardenfest Coral Springs will also be a part of the festival this year. Gardeners can take home the likes of exotic and native plants, roses, ferns, fruit trees, orchards, herbs, succulents, and flowering trees. Experts will be on hand to answer any questions.
All crafters and artisans will want to get their business card printing done in time to pass cards out to potential future customers.
Any proceeds will be donated to local nonprofit art organizations such as the Friends of Music, and the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
The event is scheduled for March 19 and 20, at “The Walk” at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, at 29th Street and Coral Springs Drive. The festival and the Gardenfest will open both days at 10:00 am and go until 5:00 pm.
