Fundraiser will highlight newest exhibit

The Coral Springs Museum of Art is presenting the ‘Masterpiece Event: Butcher, Blues and BBQ’ this September.

A fundraising event for the museum, it will honor the subject of its newest exhibit ‘Preserving Eden: Clyde Butcher's Florida Photographs’. Butcher has often been compared to Ansel Adams, and actually received the Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Conservation Award.

The event is set to feature live music, a silent auction, raffles, and food samples provided by local restaurants and caterers. Butcher will be on hand to meet guests, as will former professional football players Darrell Fullington and Darryl Williams. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the exhibit, which was put on by the South Florida Museum, Bishop Planetarium, Inc.

Those who wish to support the Coral Springs Museum are sure to want to attend this event. In addition, those who work for local graphics or printing companies are likely to be particularly keen to visit the exhibit itself to gain some inspiration.

Butcher, Blues and BBQ is being held at the Coral Springs Museum of Art on September 11 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The exhibit ‘Preserving Eden’ will be on display from September 6 to November 22.

The Museum is open Monday through Saturday and admission is $6 per person. To learn more about this upcoming event, contact Sheri Adanti at 9540340-5000.
