The Coral Springs Museum of Art will soon be presenting an exhibition on the works of Romero Britto.
Brazilian-born artist Britto calls Miami has home and, like many pop artists, he has also worked on commercial advertising campaigns. He has been named Global Ambassador for the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016. His works have been exhibited over 300 times and he has been the subject of over 20 museum shows.
The exhibition is set to feature the artist's paintings, limited edition prints, and sculptures. The opening reception will take place during the first week of the exhibition. Guests will be treated to drinks, musical entertainment, and light refreshments, and there will be an early reception for VIP guest and members only. Both events are free, but those who plan to attend must RSVP.
Exhibitions like these often attract those in Coral Springs who work for graphics and printing companies, and they can inspire them in their own work.
The Romero Britto exhibition will be on display at the Coral Springs Museum of Art from this Saturday, June 6, to August 29. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and admission is $6 or free for members. The opening reception will take place on June 11 beginning at 6:00 pm.
