The Coral Springs Center for the Arts will be presenting the Vitamin String Quartet playing variations on today's pop music and the music of ABBA in January.
The string ensemble is a contemporary classic four-member crossover group that plays renditions of eclectic genres such as dance, rock, hip-hop, and pop. This performance will be The Music of Taylor Swift, Bridgerton and Beyond.
Along with Taylor Swift music, the program will include tunes from Billie Eilish, South Korean boy band BTS, French electronic band Daft Punk, the Canadian singer-songwriter Weeknd, and Bridgerton.
This show of orchestral takes on popular music will take place Tuesday, January 28 beginning at 7:30 pm at the Coral Springs Center, 2855 Coral Springs Drive.
Toward the end of the week on Friday, January 31, Direct From Sweden will be performing The Music of ABBA.
Backed by a live band and backup singers, this group remembers Swedish pop legends ABBA with attention to make-up, movements, costumes, musical arrangements, and singing styles. The audience will get to reminisce with songs such as “Money, Money, Money,” “Mamma Mia,” “Fernando” and “The Winner Takes It All.” The performance will begin at 8:00 pm.
