Everyone in Coral Springs will get the chance to enjoy the outdoors and learn about conserving our natural resources at the upcoming EarthFest hosted by the City of Coral Springs. The event will be free and family oriented.
The event will include nature exhibits and children’s activities, and those interested in gardening can get information about the Community Garden. All raffles will help the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital. Center docents will be conducting guided tours throughout the nature center and grounds where squirrels, birds, and an occasional rabbit may make an appearance. Children and adults can also view wildlife within the center, such as the red hawks, owls, and reptiles.
Attendees can get information about the center’s programs and wildlife hospital. If this year is anything like the past few, exhibitors such as the Broward Beekeepers Association and the Public Works Department will be educating the public with demonstrations and displays on environmental issues and ways to preserve the Earth. Refreshments will be available too.
Attendees are invited to take pictures of their favorite animals and exhibits. Creative adults and kids could use these pictures for future poster printing.
The event is scheduled for this Saturday, April 16 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital, 3000 Sportsplex Drive in Coral Springs.
