Coral Springs spring brings three events

The City of Coral Springs has three social events lined up for the rest of February and on into March, with pickleball, Mardi Gras, and World Fest on the schedule.

On Saturday, February 26, Paddle Tap Pickleball and the City of Coral Springs will present a Double Elimination Pickleball Tournament. Games will be held at Cypress Park, 101 Coral Springs Drive, and at the Country Club of Coral Springs, 10800 W. Sample Road. Play begins at 8:00 am and ends around 3:00 pm. Winners in each division will receive medals and prize money.

The entire family is invited to attend the fee Mardi Gras Mambo on February 26 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Florida Panthers IceDen, 3299 Sportsplex Drive. Deep Fried Funk Band will be the live band, and along with ice skating, the activities will include party favors, a picture booth, face painters, balloon artists, and Mardi Gras beads and masks.

Worldfest, on Sunday, March 6 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, will be a free celebration of our community’s diverse cultures. Entertainment will include capo capoeira martial arts, Mexican folk dance, and performances by the Coral Springs Chinese Cultural Association and Colombian Chiva Bus. Activities will include a Kids Corner, samplings, recipes, and cooking demonstrations. Local vendors will also be selling international foods. The event will be at the City Hall lawn, 9500 West Sample Road.
