Local runners and walkers can once again herald in the holiday season by running the Coral Springs Holiday Mile in early December.
The course will begin on the corner of Sample Road and Coral Springs Drive. This will be a colorful evening run through the town’s holiday lights and decorations. Runners will line up at a pink Tape outside the Coral Springs Diner. They will then head east for a half mile and return back on Sample Road. Walkers with strollers will be asked to bring up the rear.
Registration is $15 online and $20 on race day, and swag includes an event T-shirt with a holiday-themed graphic design. Shirts are not guaranteed to those registering on event day. Each runner must wear their bib number.
Early packet pickup is available at Coral Springs Runners Depot Store, 5679 Coral Ridge Drive. Event day registration and packet pick up will be Wednesday, December 9 between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm at the event site.
Awards will go to the top three finishers in 20 age categories, and to the top three overall female and male finishers. The team that has the most members will also receive an award, as will the team posting the best time. The school team that registers the most members will win a prize too.
Participants are encouraged to dress in their holiday best for the Coral Springs Holiday Mile, which is scheduled for December 9 and will start at 6:15 pm.
