Coral Springs athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and those who just like to run are training to run the Coral Springs Remembrance 5K coming in September.
The run will be a family event and will have awards given in age-appropriate divisions. Team participation is also encouraged, with awards available for them as well.
The top three finishers in each age category will receive awards, as will the top three overall female and male finishers. Top fire and rescue department, EMT paramedic department, law enforcement department, and top club finishers will get special team trophies. Team awards will be based on number of members registered. All finishers will get T-Shirts and medals.
Warmup stretches will be conducted by Training for Warriors Coral Springs starting at 6:00 am.
Family and friends of racers still have plenty of time to get Banners made to wave along the route showing their support. There will be a post-race party around the finish line.
Packet pickup will be from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 6 and 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 7 at Runner’s Depot, 5679 Coral Ridge Drive.
The Coral Springs Remembrance 5K will start at 7:00 am on Saturday, September 9, at the Coral Springs Northwest Regional Library 3151 N. University Drive, Coral Springs. Onsite registration will also be available on race day.
