Coral Springs offers classic October events

Coral Springs's October calendar features events aiming to please all age ranges.

Oktoberfest will be coming to the City Hall Lawn for those adults that love German-inspired festivities. The themed celebrations will include a range of live entertainment, some of which will be provided by The Brussels Sprouts German Polka Band.

Activities will include a biergarten, photo booth, kinder carnival, and offerings from a range of local vendors. Authentic Bavarian food will also be available. Contests will include a Wiener Dog Dash, Yodeling, Stein Musical Chairs, and Stein Holding.

Oktoberfest in Coral Springs will take place from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday, October 4. The traditional keg tapping ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm.

As far as children’s entertainment goes, this may come in the form of the Thrills and Chills event at the Coral Springs Gymnasium.

Activities will include music by a local DJ, a spooky walkthrough, carnival games, Bags of candy, maze, a giant slide, and a bounce house. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Tickets are priced $5 per guest.

Seasonal events like this often have photo booths for those wishing to take family pictures. These pictures are then often sent to local printing services to be include in newsletters and Calendars.

Thrills and Chills will take place Saturday, October 18, with two sessions - 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
